Caravan and Camping after COVID-19 lockdown

After the government’s announcement, how are we all feeling about being able to head out camping again as of 04th July?

It looks like lots of caravan parks and campsites are preparing to open with social distancing and cleaning measures in place. Some are warning people about toilet facilities with either restricted services or in some cases no services.

We recently put together an article talking about toilet and shower facilities with a Teardrop Caravan which I have linked here if that is something on your mind at the moment. Even with restricted toilet services I expect people will be nervous about using these facilities and we could see a lot of queues outside. With your own toilet this will only mean a queue at the disposal point and washing the hands after, so social distancing outside is easy to maintain. Even without shower facilities a simple portable toilet and a pop up tent will mean we can have our own facilities.

I am expecting a lot of people are ready for a holiday now and will be keen to get out in their Caravan and camping setups. If you are looking for a new Caravan for your summer holiday this year and many holidays to come then check out our Teardrop Caravan stock models we have available.

One of our manufacturers, Hero Camper have the phrase ‘get out and stay home’ which is exactly what you can do in a Teardrop Camper. You have all the comfort and flexibility to setup how you choose whatever the weather.

Lots of campsites have been offering take away services for a while now and we expect to see that increase as there will be limited capacity indoors to maintain social distancing. This may be worth checking out before you book your site if this is something you are looking for.

Of course if you are a member of one of the caravan clubs you will have access to all of the certified location sites which allow a maximum of 5 caravans at any one time and differing levels of facilities. These could be a great choice with social distancing very easy to achieve and your unlikely to have any queuing issues. Each of the certified locations will be making their own decisions if they are going to open or not and when, so worth getting in touch and supporting them if your after somewhere that will be quieter.
