Hero Camper 2021

The new Hero Camper range for 2021 has just been released and we will take a look at the new features in this article to show you what has changed. If you are looking at Teardrop Caravan models then now is a great time to take a closer look at the Hero with many new features added into the standard model.

The new Hero Campers are now being produced as equipment packages, offering attractive savings over a standard unit and reduced lead times. You still however have the option of tailoring your own requirements, by adding additional accessories. Lead times are looking good for Hero, however these change all the time especially as people start planning for the next Spring/Summer camping season . We say the next season but in reality we promote using your Teardrop Caravan all year round as the Hero is rated down to -21 oC and now has 3 different heating options (Electric, Gas and Diesel).

So let’s start with all the changes to the basic model and then we will talk about the equipment packages and new accessories.

Externally

The new Hero now has a black trim around the body, with black stabilisers at the rear. You may also notice the new windows installed in the doors, these new windows open up and out rather than across, giving advantages to using them in the rain to allow for more ventilation. The new windows also have an integrated blind and mozzie net incorporated.

The Kitchen

The kitchen has had a number of changes. These include a new look with the black finish on the drawers and cupboards, all these now have a latch allowing you to close the drawer securely. The sink has now moved to the right hand side which means there is more useable work space on the stainless steel worktop. Under the sink is the new 30L water tank (upgraded from 18L). The middle drawer can be used for an optional new compressor fridge (12L) or for storage.

The Inside

Inside the Hero Camper the cupboards are finished in black with the same style of latches as the kitchen and the windows have been upgraded, giving a fresh new look. There is a noticeable difference now with a Hero control panel mounted on the wall giving you access to battery information, water tank level and control to appliances. The lights can now be dimmed to get the lighting level just right Behind the seats is the new battery system which is now powered by a lithium battery (30 amp/hour) as standard with a 10 amp charger. There are also lots of options to upgrade this battery system if you require. There is now an additional diesel heating option to add to the existing electric and gas heating sources, these heat up the cabin space quickly providing a cosy warm camping experience .

New Accessories

Hero have now launched a number of new accessories for the Hero Camper, many of these are now included as part of equipment packages. These new accessories include diesel heating, lithium battery options, charging options, DC-DC charging from vehicle, compressor fridge and inverter options. All of the new accessories allow for more options to be integrated into a new Hero Camper to suit your own requirements. We have also expanded the list of accessories with a number of UK additions such as roof top tent options, caravan essential accessories, security locks, covers and a new battery operated and portable motor mover/electric jockey wheel.
